WE 7.0
THE WYNONA RIDERS / LYNYRD’S INNARDS
split 10”

$6.00

The “Nation of Wenonah” is the Nation of Ulysses inspired moniker adopted by the Wynona Riders for the last record before the group’s untimely demise. The Wynona Riders helped to shape the early 90’s East Bay “sound”, with solid rhythm provided by Richie & Dave EC (ex- Soup, Filth, Pot Valient), flawless guitar, and spastic vocals. This record shows them going in a slightly darker, less pop direction with lyrics about adolescent disasters and the gentrification of modern culture. They even give a nod to riot-grrrl hipsters Bikini Kill with a cover of “Rebel Girl”. Chicago’s power-pop geniuses Lynyrd’s Innards deliver 5 new songs, blending hook-laden rock with more pop-culture references than you can count, including a tribute to the protagonist of “The Outsiders. They even include an amazing version of Adam and the Ants’ “Stand and Deliver” with Karl dolled up like Adam Ant for their half of the cover art.
