WE 27.0 THE REAL DIEGO ep 23:16 CD-EP $6.00 The debut CD from San Pedro CA’s The Real Diego brings back a certain grace that has been lacking from the post-rock music scene. These six songs display intricate song writing while never losing sight of heart and pop sensibility. Recording live with Tom Ackerman (Sunday’s Best, Neighborly, The Jealous Sound) was the perfect method to let these songs breathe and sound as they were intended to sound. From up-close subtlety to wall of sound rock, this release pushes dynamic contrast without sounding forced. The result is trademark western America: full, ringing with reverb guitar work a la Jimmy Eat World, and hints of soaring vocals in the vein of Mineral.
