LYNYRD'S INNARDS/THE WYNONA RIDERS

WE 7.0 - Split 10"

Hot dog, this one's a keeper! Lynyrd's Innards treats us to 4 brand new ones which are without a doubt their finest work to date. They also do a mind blowingly accurate cover of Adam Ant's 'Stand & Deliver' with matching cover art to boot. These are the last ever recordings by the late, great Wynona Riders who give us 3 new ones as well as a cover of Bikini Kill's 'Rebel Girl'. Don't miss the boat on this one.

Info:
The cover art on the Lynyrd’s Innards side of this 10" is an almost exact reproduction of the Adam Ant album "Prince Charming" with Karl dressed up like Adam Ant. You can view a comparison of the 2 covers here. The Wynona Riders’ cover art was originally supposed to parody The Nation Of Ulysses "13 Point Plan To Destroy America" album, but it didn’t work out. This 10" came out in the Summer of 1996, and during that Summer, Skip from The Wynona Riders drove to the midwest to visit. After 3 weeks he decided to return to Alameda CA, so he bought a used bike for $40, strapped a fake Gucci purse to the handlebars and began his 2000 mile ride back to California. He made it 2 days, then his bike fell apart.
